The YAPP funding disclosure — including this project's founder
- what the source states
- The peer-reviewed funding statement of Luke & Koh 2025 reads: "the Yale Ancient Pharmacology Program has been generously supported by E. Jhong, Robert and MeiLi Hefner Foundation, Athanatos Foundation, and B. Muraresku."
- what we infer
- Provenance metadata for the whole research strand, recorded with a disclosure this project owes its readers: E. Jhong is Aletheia's founder. The program positioned to test TIK-C007 and TIK-C010 is funded by the hypothesis's author, his foundation, and this project's founder. Funding creates a provenance edge, not a negative evidence edge — the chemistry stands or falls on replication — but naive source-counting would overstate independence, and any future YAPP result entering this ledger carries this flag. The same discipline applies to critics: motive fields are context, never evidence about what was in an ancient cup.
- limitations
- Documents funders, not influence; no YAPP result currently carries evidential weight in this case, so the flag is presently prophylactic.
