Delayed luminescence measured in tubulin constructs — but with no anesthetic finding
- what the source states
- The abstract reads in full: "We report, for the first time, measurements of delayed luminescence on tubulin constructs. The results demonstrate the role of mesoscopic structure on emission strength and decay dynamics, which provides a new perspective on radiative phenomena." It makes no mention of anesthetics or of any anesthetic comparison.
- what we infer
- Recorded primarily as a correction. Eugene's primer states that "anesthetics shorten this delayed luminescence time, while structurally similar non-anesthetics do not" and attributes that to this work; no text available to this import supports it, and the accessible abstract is explicitly about mesoscopic structure rather than pharmacology. If such a result exists it is in a fuller presentation this project has not seen, and it should not be counted until it is. On its own terms the abstract is mild support for structure-dependent collective radiative behavior, which is ORCH-C013 territory — hence direction "context" rather than "supports" for any anesthesia claim.
- limitations
- Conference proceedings abstract, not a peer-reviewed full paper; weakest source in the case.
- The anesthetic claim attributed to this work in the case editor's own primer is unsupported by any text this import could verify.
- Delayed luminescence is a bulk optical observable and not a coherence measure.
